Pastor (Teaching Elder)
I have been married to Kelsey since 2010 and currently we have three sons. I am originally from the Milwaukee-area of Wisconsin, but I met my wife in Charlotte, NC when my parents moved there while I was a college student in Milwaukee. I graduated from UNC Charlotte (I transferred to the warmer climate!) in 2010 and married Kelsey that summer. She taught high school English and I went to Reformed Theological Seminary Charlotte for my Master of Divinity. I graduated in 2014 and was ordained that year as an assistant pastor at a PCA church in Charlotte. I was called to serve as Pastor of Northside in November 2017.
Ruling Elder (Director of Music)
I left Dalton, Georgia in 1974 to attend UGA where I met my wife Liz. We married in 1977 and have been blessed with six children. Four of those are married providing us with eight grandchildren and counting. Covering a span of twelve of years we lived in Texas, Oregon, and Louisiana while obtaining advanced degrees and working out-of-state. In 1991 we moved back to Georgia so I could take a job teaching agricultural education/horticulture at Winder-Barrow High School and eventually Sims Academy. After enjoying 25 years of being “Doc” to the students and parents of Barrow County I retired in 2016. I am now enjoying spending my time with family, church, ministry pursuits and a small part-time business. We became members of Northside in 1991 and I became an elder here at Northside in 2000.
Ruling Elder (Director of Christian Education)
My wife, Leann, and I have been married since 2002 and have four children, Elizabeth, Jack, Catherine and William. I was born and raised in a small town just outside of Gadsden, Alabama. After graduating from Auburn University in 1991 with a degree in Ornamental Horticulture, I moved to the Metro Atlanta area and have worked in the horticultural industry ever since. Leann and I joined Northside Presbyterian Church in 2005 and I was elected as a ruling elder in June of 2011.
Ruling Elder (Director of Outreach)
My wife, Kristin, and I met in Clinton, SC while both attending Presbyterian College in 1996. We were married in 1999, and moved to south Georgia where we lived for 5 years in Claxton, the self-proclaimed Fruitcake Capital of the World. Upon the birth of our daughter, Isabella, in 2004, we moved to Winder, and have lived here ever since. Our family was completed in 2006 with the birth of our son, Logan. Our family’s favorite ways to spend time together is either around a board game or out in the wilderness on one of our tent-camping adventures. I served as a high school mathematics teacher for twelve years before transitioning into instructional leadership where I am currently serve as the local school system’s Director of Innovative Learning. Kristin and I joined Northside in 2014, and I became an elder in January 2018.
